| Carmen II is a Cuban refugee boat that was discovered off the shores of Key West and is currently being restored for a client on Captiva Island, FL. The restorative process will entail re-planking the hull followed by an epoxy fiber glass encasement. All of the trim will be removed and replaced with solid Honduran mahogany and then finished with a layer of epoxy followed by an awl grip clear coat finish. This process ensures a long lasting luster and relieves the burden of annual bright work. The engine mounts will also be replaced and a Volvo Penta diesel engine will be installed.
