Key Education, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing maritime, adventure education. Key Education, Inc. was founded by T.J. McDermott after the first Key West Family Boatbuilding Event was introduced in 2003 .
OUR MISSION is to provide students with a foundation that will encourage them to broaden their intellects while at the same time giving them a spiritual and philosophical compass to guide them in their self-discovery.
Participants will be challenged through traditional content, as well as through less conventional methods such as risk taking, leadership, decision making, problem solving, teamwork and self sufficiency.
Key Education, Inc. is a co-organizer and sponsor for the annual Family Boatbuilding Event in Key West and offers customized and tailored programs to individuals, groups, schools and professional organizations.
