During the final week of Mer Academy, Mel Fisher Maritime Museum’s Summer Camp, kids learned the hands on, ancient art of boatbuilding.  This took place at Key West’s historic state park, Fort Zachary Taylor.  By week’s end we had completed our goal of building a 12 foot row boat and launched off the beautiful beaches of Fort Zach.
