Participants at pirate week learned how to build their own boat in case they were ever marooned on a deserted island. During this week long celebration of days gone by participants not only let out their inner pirate through dance, music and merrymaking, but also learned valuable skills they will take with them wherever the winds may blow.
During this period Key Education, Inc. and its participants, both young and old, built two boats, that indeed became useful as they were used in retrieving the poor souls who were involved in Key West’s first Walk the Plank ceremony on the historic, pirate ship Schooner Wolf . |
